Anime Squadron Traits Tier List

Patch/version: June 2026 release

This Anime Squadron traits tier list ranks the June 2026 trait pool by reroll value for DPS carries, tanks, support units, and economy slots. It helps before spending Trait Shards, Reroll Cubes, or Perfect Cubes so your best units get traits that match their actual job.

How This Tier List Is Ranked

The ranking weighs total run impact before raw rarity: damage traits matter most on carries, economy traits matter most on Fastwagon-style money slots, and HP traits only climb when the unit is meant to tank. trait testing points to the same SS through D shape and separates DPS, farm, and tank rolls for DPS, farm, and tank use; trait value is not an developer trait ranking.

Tier Notes

A
High-value role traits that are worth keeping when they match the unit's job, especially economy or tank builds.
B
Practical rolls for damage or cost pressure, but they lose priority to S tier traits and to A tier role traits on the right unit.
C
Temporary traits for early and mid-game units; they help but usually lose to specialized rerolls.
D
Reroll targets on any unit with long-term value, because the bonuses are too small or too narrow for late-game investment and lose to final traits.
S
Best reroll outcomes that change team ceiling through huge stat value, extra placement, or duplicate unit pressure.

Trait Rankings

S Tier

Rank Name Reason
1 Superior Superior ranks S because its damage, HP, range, and placement bonuses create the biggest single trait swing for a carry. It is the best reroll target on units that already deserve long-term investment, but it is wasted on low-tier filler that will leave your team soon.
2 Cloner Cloner ranks S because adding another copy of a key unit can beat a normal stat bump when the unit already has high damage, support, or tank value. It is especially valuable on top units and tanks, but weaker if the copied unit is only a temporary early-game slot.

A Tier

Rank Name Reason
1 Entrepreneur Entrepreneur ranks A because economy decides how fast expensive teams deploy and upgrade. It is the best farm-focused trait, but it stays below Superior and Cloner on a general trait list because it does not directly raise boss damage once the economy problem is solved.
2 Rebirth Rebirth ranks A because tank and frontliner value matters when bosses and waves punish weak survivability. It belongs on defensive units, but DPS carries usually prefer Superior, Cloner, Lethal, or Sniper unless they specifically need to survive hits.

B Tier

Rank Name Reason
1 Lethal Lethal ranks B because damage plus cooldown reduction is a clean DPS upgrade for units that attack often. It falls below the top traits because it does not add placement, copies, or economy, but it is still a keeper on damage units when secret traits are out of reach.
2 Sniper Sniper ranks B because extra damage and range let a unit start attacking earlier and hold the lane from farther away. It performs best on units with high base damage and weaker on units that mainly need cost reduction, survivability, or a special support job.
3 Wealthy Wealthy ranks B because lower cost helps expensive teams hit their first upgrade windows faster. It is worse than Entrepreneur for pure farming, but it can still carry progression accounts that are losing runs because their best unit arrives too late.

C Tier

Rank Name Reason
1 Juggernaut Juggernaut ranks C because HP only matters on units expected to absorb pressure. Put it on tanks if you lack Rebirth or Cloner, but reroll it off DPS carries because damage, range, cooldown, or economy traits usually change the run more.
2 Knight Knight ranks C because its mixed damage and HP profile helps early and mid-game units survive while dealing more damage. It drops behind B tier because the bonuses are smaller and less specialized than the traits that solve DPS, range, or economy directly.

D Tier

Rank Name Reason
1 Ranger Ranger ranks D because range alone does not beat traits that add damage, cooldown pressure, copies, or money. Keep it only as a temporary roll on a unit that already needs more range, then reroll once you have enough shards.
2 Powerful This damage-only trait ranks D because a small damage boost is easy to outgrow. It beats a blank trait on a new unit, but it gets rerolled on any carry you plan to use for raids, Infinite, or late-game farming.
3 Sight Sight ranks D because the range bump is too minor to change most clears. It does not solve damage, tanking, or economy pressure, so it belongs on throwaway units rather than upgraded carries and gets replaced before serious reroll spending.
4 Endure Endure ranks D because minor HP does not protect a team from the damage checks that decide later stages. It is acceptable only on early filler, and players rerolling it quickly on any unit with long-term value.
5 Tank Tank ranks D because more HP has a narrow job and most units need offensive, utility, or economy traits instead. It only fits when a dedicated frontliner has no better roll, then it loses to Rebirth, Cloner, or a role-specific trait.

June 2026 Release Context

Anime Squadron is still in its release window, and the safest early calls are the ones repeated by player testing: Gometa, Puppeteer, Woo, Madora, and Shanron form the late-game top unit cluster, while Shinks and Fastwagon keep their places because support uptime and money timing decide whether those carries can actually clear waves. Exact in-game multipliers can move after balance patches, but the broad investment order is stable enough for players deciding where to spend summons, trait rolls, gear materials, and evolution effort right now.

How to Read Early Rankings

S tier is the chase group, A tier is the buildable group while secrets or evolutions are still missing, and B tier is the stopgap group for story and mid-game farming. C and D tier entries can stay on a new account for a short time, but rare rerolls, high-tier gear, and long upgrade chains belong on better damage, economy, or support pieces once they appear.

Trait Priority by Unit Role

Superior or Cloner belongs on carries first. Entrepreneur or Wealthy belongs on a money slot when upgrades come late. Rebirth or Cloner belongs on tanks when the front line collapses. HP-only traits waste DPS slots just because they look defensive; a carry that kills waves faster often protects the team better than a carry with a small health bump.

Tier List FAQ

What is the best trait in Anime Squadron?

Superior is the best overall trait because it gives the biggest package for a carry: damage, HP, range, and placement value.

Is Cloner worth rerolling?

Cloner is not a reroll target on a top unit unless you are chasing Superior with enough resources to absorb weak rolls. A duplicate high-value unit can beat most ordinary stat traits.

What is the best farming trait?

Entrepreneur is the best farming trait, with Wealthy as the fallback. They matter most on money and cost-sensitive team slots, not on every DPS unit.
