Crafting NPC is the Anime Squadron lobby NPC where you turn Gold and Story materials into unit gear.
Crafting NPC is the gear NPC in Anime Squadron. Here, your Story drops and Gold turn into equipment for units, from early gear up to Mythic and Secret pieces. The reason to care is simple: gear can fix damage, cooldown, range, HP, defense, accuracy, or another stat problem after the unit is already in your squad. You find Crafting NPC inside the Upgrades area near the Awakening NPC. If the lobby feels busy, follow the Upgrade waypoint and look for the crafting prompt. Once the menu opens, pick the gear piece, read the recipe card, and compare the material count with your inventory. Crafting NPC is separate from Trait Reroll NPC and Stat Reroll NPC. Trait rerolls change trait text, stat rerolls change stat quality, and crafting builds gear. That split matters because the best upgrade depends on the unit's actual problem: bad trait, weak stats, missing awakening, or an empty gear slot.
Find the Crafting NPC in the lobby's Upgrades area near the Awakening NPC. Follow the Upgrade waypoint when the lobby feels crowded or the crafting prompt is hard to see. Interact with the prompt to open the crafting menu. The menu shows each gear item, required materials, and any Gold cost before you craft.
Crafting NPC opens the gear crafting menu. It is for equipment, while summons, trait rerolls, stat rerolls, and awakenings stay in their own systems. Use it when the next upgrade is gear: Saiyan, Pirate, Ninja, Mythic, Secret, or another piece that fixes a unit's current stat problem. The item card shows the gear effect before you spend materials.

Craft gear when a unit already has a real squad slot and one item solves that unit's problem. A carry that needs cooldown, a frontline unit that needs defense, or a support that needs range gives the craft a clear reason.
Crafting NPC builds gear. Trait Reroll NPC changes trait text, Stat Reroll NPC changes stat rolls, and Awakening NPC handles evolution routes.
Before crafting, read the gear name, rarity, material names, material counts, and Gold cost in the menu. If a saved recipe and the game menu differ, trust the menu in front of you.
Look in the lobby's Upgrades area near the Awakening NPC, or follow the Upgrade waypoint when the prompt is hard to spot.
It opens the gear crafting menu so you can craft equipment from Gold and Story materials.
No. Crafting NPC makes gear, while Trait Reroll NPC spends trait resources on unit trait rolls.
Yes, when a keeper unit will wear it right away. If the squad slot is temporary, save materials until the upgrade has a clear target.
